Tying-on kit

Jany Berthelot from Paris has created this fascinating kit to help you tie on reeds.

With the help of a measuring gauge, the rubber aid can be positioned accurately at the end of the staple, indicating the correct height for the thread when tying-on. This helps you prevent 'over-tying' your reeds - when the thread is tied above the end of the staple. Furthermore, this kits lets you quickly check the reed's overall length during the tying-on process without having to resort to using a separate calliper.

The set includes a measuring gauge, a screw clamp to fix it to the table, a roll for the thread and a rubber tying-on aid.
