Mark Chudnow is an American oboe repairer who is intensively involved in the development of new staples. His two full-metal oboe ferrules have the same bore as the Chiarugi 2+. Therefore, the Chiarugi 2+ mandrel can also be used for this staple.

The full-metal staples generate more vibrations due to the omission of the dampening cork coating. As a result, the feel is similar to that of the nickel silver staples.

The Chudnow S plays slightly more damped compared to the Chudnow E.
