This natural oil helps to maintain the oboe's bore and prevents it from cracking.

We recommend using a turkey feather to distribute the oil throughout the bore.

Particularly when breaking-in a new oboe, it is advisable to use this natural oil regularly (about once a week). Make sure the inside of your oboe is well dried before oiling. Use the oil sparingly; we recommend 1-2 drops. If too much is used, there is a risk that it will run through the tone holes and onto the pads.
