This mandrel for Roseau Chantant 2 oboe staples has a comfortable handle made of oiled olive wood.

In order to prevent distortion of the staple's shape, which is individual to each type of staple, we recommend always using a mandrel that matches the staple.

The model number "2" stamped on this mandrel sometimes causes confusion amongst oboists. This number does not correspond with the "2" marked on the mandrels for Chiarugi 2 staples. Similarly, the shape of the mandrels named "2" for Marigaux 2 staples is also different.

Therefore, this mandrel should only be used with Roseau Chantant 2 staples!
