Gouged cane for Oboe: Rigotti

Rigotti oboe cane has been known for years for its medium-hard to hard cane from the Cogolin area in the Var department. The cane has little grain and is relatively dense.

Since Daniel Rigotti took over the company founded by his father in the 1970s, the quality of the cane has improved significantly.

We shy away from making general statements about reeds made with Rigotti cane, such as "nice sound" or "easy to play", because there are too many variables in reed making for that.

What is certain, is that Rigotti cane is very popular with oboists around the world!
